Them Bones If only I hadn’t kidnapped the dog but the ransom paid the I seem to be a private eye.I shouldn’t have listened to that ghost. Meet Sarah Booth Delaney an unconventional Southern belle whose knack for uncovering the truth is about to make her the hottest detective in Zinnia, Mississippi if it doesn’t. Well written, without the usual Kindle version typos, Them Bones is a story of the Mound Builder Indians of our history, and the unfortunate and tragic results of meeting Caucasian peoples. Part archaeology, part alternative history, this book is very entertaining and a quick, enjoyable read/5(83). Them Bones book. Read 63 reviews from the world's largest community for readers. What did you love best about Them Bones? The character was transformed beautifully from a woman needing a job, to a young detective. The plot was excellent and this book became a fast read. Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How? This book was followed by numerous other Sarah Booth mysteries that left readers hungry for more. Some of the books that stood out include hallowed bones. In this book, Sarah Booth investigates the mystery of a Doreen Mallory. This is a somewhat famous school teacher and tarot card reader accused of murdering her baby.   The book has so much literary merit, that it could be placed among the novels. However, the excellent mystery plot also wins it a place among the mysteries. Haines creates characters who are memorable and vivid and places them in the Mississippi Delta town of Zinnia (I'm kind of reminded of the movie "In the Heat of the Night").5/5(5). Them Bones Lyrics: Aah! Aah! Aah! Aah! / I believe them bones are me / Some say we're born into the grave / I feel so alone / Gonna end up a big ole pile of them bones / Aah! Aah! Aaah! / Dust rise.

Really good book "Them Bones" was hard to put down. I live in Mississippi so I could relate to it. That really is what it's like here, not so many murders but lotsa drama and "daddy's girls". I look forward to reading another Sarah Booth PI story/5(41).
